RMA Repair Instructions >
The following details JNC’s conditional hardware warranty and Repair (RMA) procedures for its products.
1. Warranty
1.1 General Warranty
- JNC provides limited hardware warranty service to the original purchaser of its products.
- Subject to the following conditions, limitations, and disclaimers, JNC warrants that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period (as defined below) from the date of shipment from our manufacturing facility.
- If a defect in materials or workmanship causes product failure within the applicable warranty period, JNC agrees to repair or replace any product or part proven to be defective.
1.2 Applicable Warranty Period
- Under the general limited warranty conditions, the designated products covered by the applicable warranty period are as follows:
- 2.2.1 Standard Warranty
- Standard Products (Main Equipment) : Products manufactured by JNC are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of shipment.
- Standard Products (Water Quality Sensing Components) : Products manufactured by JNC are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of shipment.
- ODM/OEM Products : Unless otherwise explicitly stipulated in a written sales agreement, our warranty period is one year from the date of shipment.
- Peripherals and Outsourced Components (not manufactured by JNC) : The warranty period of the original manufacturer will apply and be transferred to the user.
- 2.2.2 Extended Warranty
- Once the warranty period has been extended, the applicable warranty period will be the term agreed upon with the customer in the contract. We can provide extended warranty services of up to three years for certain products upon request. If customers are interested, please contact our sales team for more information.
1.3 Repairs Within Warranty Period
- JNC rigorously tests all of its products to ensure optimal quality and reliability. In the unlikely event that a customer’s product develops a defect or malfunction within the applicable warranty period, we will make every effort to expedite the repair/replacement process.
- 1.3.1 Definition and Process of DOA (Dead on Arrival)
- If the product fails within the first 30 days from the shipment date, it will be considered DOA.
- Upon receiving a DOA product, please immediately notify JNC. We will prioritize its handling. Customers are advised to first report the issue through our sales staff to our support engineers for real-time troubleshooting. Our support engineers will attempt to resolve the issue remotely.
- Once the support engineer confirms that the issue cannot be resolved, they will notify the sales staff to prioritize the service and expedite processing.
- 1.3.2 Obsolete Products (Within Warranty Period)
- We will continue to service the product until the warranty expires. However, if parts needed to perform the repair under warranty are no longer available, we will replace the product with a directly upgraded version. The remaining warranty period of the original product will continue to apply until its expiration.
1.4 Non-Warranty Repairs
- Any repair requested for a product with an expired or voided warranty (please refer to the “Exclusions” below) is considered a non-warranty repair. All non-warranty returns will be subject to repair and shipping fees. However, whether the product can be repaired will also depend on the availability of required components and the extent of damage. The following terms apply to such repairs :
- 1.4.1 Charging Standards
- Regardless of whether the returned product is repairable, a $40 inspection fee will be charged per item.
- In addition to the inspection fee, a service fee will be charged. This includes the cost of components used during the repair and the labor cost of the repair engineer.
- Customers must bear the cost of round-trip shipping and insurance.
- 1.4.2 Conditions
- From the date of shipment by our repair service department, all repaired goods will carry a three-month warranty.
- Due to the extent of damage and the availability of parts, we may be unable to repair certain products.
- Once the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of this policy, we will provide an RMA number.
- We will provide a repair quote after completing the inspection of the returned item. Upon customer confirmation and receipt of a purchase order, we will proceed with the repair.
- If the customer declines the repair or the product is deemed irreparable, we can assist with disposal or return of the product to the customer (all associated costs to be borne by the customer). However, if we do not receive a response within 30 days of notification, we will consider the customer to have authorized us to dispose of the item.
1.5 Repair Reports
- We will provide a standard repair report for each RMA item. If a detailed analysis report is required, a fee will be charged to cover the related costs.
2. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
2.1 Important Notes
- Our RMA service is only available to direct customers with an invoice from JNC.
- The RMA number is valid for 14 working days. Our receiving department will reject any returned goods without a valid RMA number. In such cases, the returnee must bear the responsibility and cost of retrieving the goods. We will not be responsible for the safety or custody of these items. Furthermore, if we do not receive a response from the shipper, we will scrap the item after three months without further notice.
- Please do not return any accessories, manuals, or special items with the product. We will not be responsible for returning these items or ensuring they are returned intact.
- If the customer wishes to return additional equipment related to the repair to assist us in troubleshooting, each item must be clearly listed on the RMA form.
- We will make every effort to expedite repairs. To facilitate troubleshooting, we ask that customers describe the problem with the product in as much detail as possible, including (but not limited to) original settings, operating system, application method, and working environment.
- If our engineers cannot reproduce the reported problem, we will conduct our standard product test. If the returned product passes the test without issue, it will be deemed an NPF (No Problem Found) return. We may charge up to $40 per item as an inspection fee, and the customer must arrange and pay for the return shipping.
2.2 Return Process
2.2.1.
- To apply for an RMA number, please visit the RMA request page in the Download Center on the official website of JNC, fill out the application form, and after submission, the system will allow you to download or print it and obtain the RMA number. We encourage customers to complete the form as thoroughly as possible to help expedite the troubleshooting process. Please note that receiving an RMA number does not guarantee that the product can be repaired (see clause 2.4.2, point 2).
2.2.2.
- If all items on the RMA application form fall within the warranty period under applicable conditions, we will issue an RMA number authorizing the customer to return the goods. Please note that the RMA number is only valid for 14 working days!
2.2.3.
- Before returning items to us, please back up any settings, software, and data stored on the device. We do not provide backup services and are not responsible for any loss or damage to data.
2.3 Shipping
2.3.1.
- On the shipping invoice, please include the following statement: “Goods with no commercial value, returned for after-sales service only.”
2.3.2.
- All items returned to us should be packaged in their original packaging if possible. Otherwise, please ensure they are properly packaged in sturdy and ESD-protected containers, and mark the RMA number on the outer box. All returned items must be accompanied by a copy of the valid RMA form.
2.3.3.
- When returning items for warranty repair, the customer must ensure that the goods are protected from damage or loss during transit and must bear the return shipping and insurance costs. Return shipping after repair will be covered by us. We will use our designated shipping method to return the goods to the customer.
